Aspiration-irrigational eye cannula (double channel) is used for aspiration of crystalline lens masses with simultaneous irrigation of moisture-replacing fluids during extracapsullar extraction of cataract. The multi use cannula is highly persistent to the cleaning process, which includes disinfection, pre sterilizing cleaning and sterilizing according to OST 42-21-2-85. The aspiration tube and the irrigational tube, which come into contact with organic tissues are made of electrolytic nickel by method of Galvan plastics. The cannula is equipped with a silicon tube to connect the system to syringes of "Luer" and "Record" type. Eye cannula is used in ophthalmologic operations. After removing the body of lens the cannula is attached to the aspiration-irrigational system and is inserted into the back chamber of the eye. The curved end of the cannula is placed parallel to the back capsule of crystalline lens. The irrigational liquid, coming out of the side hole on the irrigational tube, is directed along the back surface of capsule, washing out the crystalline masses. Reaching the equator of crystalline lens, the irrigational liquid comes back along the front capsule and is absorbed into the oval aspiration hole situated at the end of irrigational tube. The whirlwind motion of the liquid cleans the capsule very thoroughly.

  • Tube of irrigation and aspiration tube which are manufactured by method
    of electroplating using Nickel electrodes;
  • Silicon tubes of medical purpose;
  • Adapters.

          Eye cannulas are packed into stroke-resistant polyester cases.
